Also premiering, are a number of special edition models produced with the help of Atomic Kitten and fashion designer Mathew Williamson.Commenting on the news, SMMT chief executive Christopher Macgowan said, ‘We are thrilled that MG Rover Group has decided to launch its new sports model at this year’s event. As an international showcase for the industry, the event is the perfect place to show the strength of British design to the rest of the world. It’s great news that this British car will see its world debut on home soil.’Korean car company Kia has also announced it will be returning to the Show, the first motor show it has attended in the UK since 1997. Making its UK debut in Hall 2 will be its new prestige SUV, the Sorento.As the Show draws closer the public appetite for this year’s event shows no sign of waning.
