Publication Ban Request for Human Rights Board of Inquiry

first_imgA complainant has requested a publication ban on his name at an upcoming independent public board of inquiry by the Human Rights Commission. The worker experienced a mental health issue and does not wish to be identified by the media. The board of inquiry, scheduled for July 23-27 in Halifax, will consider whether the employee appropriately requested accommodation in the workplace and whether the employer should have made inquiries about a need for accommodation. The publication ban application is being heard by the board chair, Walter Thompson, on Monday, May 14, at 9:30 a.m. at the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, 1675 Lower Water St., Halifax. Submissions from media should be made at that time. Written submissions should be provided to the board chair before May 14 and sent to Walter Thompson, Burke Thompson, 200-5162 Duke Street, P.O.
