Powerful CSKA is in Europe after the defeat over Beroe –…

first_imgCSKA defeated Beroe 5-0 in the last match of the season and deservedly won a place in Europe. The “Army” finished second after Ludogorets and thus arranged matches in the Europa League. Two goals for CSKA scored Tiago (70-penalty and 77), one added Evandro (4), Antov (25) and Sow (81).In general, the “reds” completely dominated and controlled the game, created a dozen goal positions, scored five goals and deservedly took the victory and all three points. Thus, CSKA ended a controversial season in which it failed to dethrone Ludogorets and lost in a ridiculous way the final match for the Cup of Bulgaria from Lokomotiv Plovdiv. The “Army” took revenge on their fans with their ranking for Europe and are waiting for the next championship, in which they will aim for the title. The match was played at the Bulgarian Army Stadium in front of empty stands, due to the ban on visiting the public at sports competitions in order to limit the spread of the coronavirus.Just before the start of the match, the legendary Dimitar Penev received special gifts and greetings from all those present at the stadium on the occasion of his 75th birthday. The club’s management also presented honorary plaques to players Ruben Pinto and Edwin Jesse, who will continue their careers in other championships from next season. The first half started well for the army, who opened the score in the 4th minute with a beautiful goal by Evandro. In the 24th minute Valentin Antov scored his first goal with the red shirt and doubled the score. In the second half, CSKA totally dominated its opponent. In the 70th minute Ali Sow was fouled in the penalty area by the visitors’ goalkeeper and the referee pointed to the white dot, and Thiago Rodriguez made the result a classic after a cool-headed performance. Seven minutes later, Tiago was again accurate for 4: 0. In the 81st minute Ali Sow made the final 5: 0 with a beautiful goal. Thus, CSKA finished second in the final standings with an asset of 59 points, securing participation in the qualifying rounds of the Europa League next month.Slavia finished third in the championship, beating Ludogorets 3: 1 and collecting an asset of 55 points, ahead of the fourth Levski, who lost to Lokomotiv (Pd) 1: 2 in Sofia.CSKA – Beroe 5: 0Goal scorers:1: 0 Evandro (4) 2: 0 Antov (25) 3: 0 Tiago (70th penalty) 4: 0 Tiago (77) 5: 0 Sou (81)CSKA: 13.
