Ensures accurate data collection, documentation,organization and safety of research participants.Job DutiesInterviews, screen and recruits patients for study; explainsprocess and procedures to educate participant regarding theresearch study.Collects patient information; processes documents and entersinformation into a database. May perform Venipuncture (blooddraws), EKGs/ECG’s and obtain vital signs on studyparticipants.May collect, process, ship, and maintain paperwork for bloodand/or biological specimens according to procedures outlined instudy protocol.Employees may be required to receive on the job training ofphlebotomy and EKGs/ECGs prior to performing on studyparticipants.Maintains records and regulatory documents and records forresearch studies.Schedules research participant for tests and procedures such aslaboratory tests, x-rays, and other studies specific for theresearch protocol.Retrieves and submits test results to appropriate party.May correspond with patient throughout study.Orders supplies and equipment.
