Storm Ciara: 1,300 homes & businesses without power in Donegal

first_img Nine til Noon Show – Listen back to Monday’s Programme Twitter By News Highland – February 11, 2020 Homepage BannerNews Loganair’s new Derry – Liverpool air service takes off from CODA WhatsApp Around 1,300 homes and businesses in Donegal are currently without power with this morning.Areas around Milford, Stranorlar and Derrybeg are the worst affected with crews tasked to carry out repair works.It’s estimated that power will be restored to all properties at around 4pm.Donegal County Council’s Severe Weather Assessment Team is continuing to monitor the progression of Storm Ciara.A status yellow wind warning is in place until 8pm this evening while a status yellow snow and ice warning remains in effect until midnight.The Council says all services are in a state of readiness.
